Well I’m a DD36 fan and that dark blue dial looks almost black in the pics.
I do prefer the true square and rectangular diamond markers you have over roman or stick markers though. Regardless, day-dates are timeless and the white gold is very cool. Congrats and enjoy!

The lume is activated by tritium, which has decayed such that the activity is not enough to create much illumination. My guess is that if you wake up in the middle of the night in a totally dark room, you will still be able to see a bit of illumination.

You could replace the dial and hands, I assume, if you need more modern illumination.

Mine doesn't glow anymore either, it's just part of the aging process.
