What scarcity?

How can there be a scarcity of Rolex when I see here new ceramic Daytonas, Pepsis, etc. every day? Really.

AD scarcity, not Grey, hence not from Rolex.

If you’re willing to pay 10k over sticker there’s no scarcity at all

I just got my blnr from an AD on Wednesday. I was on the list for 9 months. He said it would be years before I could get a blro. I'd post a "hey, got my first Rolex" thread, but I don't have enough posts for pictures yet.

I've been to probably 15 - 20 ADs around the states, big, small, whatever, and they never had any SS sports models.

I agree, can all be had in 10 minutes at any gray dealer. Simply a re-routing of supply.

The only “scarcity” is those references available at MSRP.

No scarcity, but pop your head into a few ADs and you’ll get the picture pretty fast

I waited 15 days for a Sub Date SS. Got it from an AD which I bought 2 other Rolex's from. I think that helped.

+1

i'm not sure why people keep asking this question.

clearly, "scarcity" refers to scarcity at AD at MSRP. There's plenty of stock available just not at MSRP.

I think there's three basic groups here:
1. Folks with good dealer relationships who can still get whatever they want although there may now be a bit of a wait.
2. Folks who have long since acquired all the Rolex they want and are giggling at all the FOMO here.
3. Folks who are new and/or don't have a dealer relationship and incessantly complain that they can't get what they want and come up with all the outlandish conspiracy theories we hear everyday.

If there's 100,000 people that want the Daytona and Rolex only ships 10,000, that means that 90% of the customers aren't getting one.

Is this still confusing?

I see more Daytona’s and new GMT’s out and about than explorers and explorer 2 combined. In Florida anyways.

Must be certain parts of Florida....I’m here now and have family here and am normally in Orlando/Tampa. I’ve got a BLNR so regularly look for GMTs and have hardly spotted any. However I have seen a handful of black subs in a sea of people wearing mostly no watches or Apple watches

My daughter attended a high school in Orlando, I once saw 3 steel Daytona’s in the classroom during an open house.
