5711 Experts - Cal. 324 - Danger Zone?
Did a search and could not find. Is the 5711 with Cal. 324 subject to “danger zone” date setting? I understand this to be a real issue on more complicated watches, such as the 5990.
I was of the view that the 5711 and 5712 were “safe” from danger zone and the absent-minded(!). Thank you in advance. |

The safest, set you time at between 5:00am - 6:00am before changing the date.....
Cheers,

Not sure why you think it’s a real issue on the 5990 - the movement has an isolator for the date in the “danger zone”. If you try and advance the date in this zone then nothing happens to the date as the date advance is isolated

the 5712 date is not in an aprture, it also doesn't set from the crown but rather from the quick setting pusher....

Right. Told not a danger zone issue for 5712, and if that’s true, would be, in part, to different technical reasons than 5711 given lack of date aperture on the former. |

I gave up trying to remember all the different danger zones of different manufacturers. I just assume 6am is the safest time for each manufacturer and life is much easier.
