Battle of the moonphases

Hi all,

I really like both of these watches. I want to get your thoughts on both of these pieces. So, which one do you like better? Feel free to post pics. I appreciate all comments.

Both are obviously extremely nice and very different. I voted for the PP. For me a watch is first and foremost for telling time and no matter how nice a watch I'm not a fan of the time feature being on a sub-dial instead of the whole face.

Biased!

But I think it's the Lange 1 MP hands down, and I own a 5712G! I would seriously look at the Lange in rose gold - even more stunning than in pt.

Of the two above, I said 5712R. If it had been the rose gold Lange One moon, that would easily have been my choice!

It depends on what you currently have in the collection, but in general, I prefer the 5712/1a to the R so in your case I'd go with the Lange.

There is nothing like the moonphase (the detail and number of stars) on the ALS.

Lange, it's really not a fair poll IMHO. And the results are showing it so far.

These are two of my fave MP watches but would go for the Nautilus just as I have a more sports bias.

Would it be more fair if the Lange was in RG? Thanks.

I don't think it would make any difference to me. Still the Lange as it is a much more elegant piece and very well suited to the moonphase complication.

Lange 1 moon phase - the best watch on the planet for me and I spoke with my wallet! The date is also much easier to read and set using the push piece on the ALS.

I recommend in rose gold - it's stunning and a whole lot cheaper than the platinum version.

Lange 1 MP for me although the luminous hands still bothers me.

Thanks for the comments! I really like both. I love the Patek 5712r. It is thin and a little sporty. Also think the movement is gorgeous with the mini rotor. The Lange design is more balanced but also more dressy. I think it is less versatile than the Patek. I'll let you guys know my decision with an incoming soon.
