Columbus, Ohio GTG

Plans are being made for a Columbus GTG on Sept. 18th at the Diamond Cellar located at 6280 Sawmill Road,Dublin Ohio (Columbus).

I've been in contact with Diamond Cellar reps and they would love to host a GTG for us.

Tenative plans are to have reps from Rolex and Panerai persent to answer question (display new issues?) etc.....

Tentative time is 10AMish.

Anyone interested please chime in or shoot me a PM.

DC carries most of the big name brands including JLC and PP so it should be a great time.

Bring your watches and let's have some fun!!!

Mike

I'm in. Can we flesh this out to a full-blown GTG with [breakfast, lunch, dinner]-type activities ? I'll be in the mood for a weekend road-trip. Columbus is only half the distance to Louisville, so it would be a cakewalk by comparison.

Oh sure. That was my thought as well. There are several places in the area we can meet before hand (and after).

Bill,
We need to find a nice place to enjoy a few cigars and a cocktail while in Columbus for the GTG.

Hmmm 4 minute drive max including the 4-5 traffic lights I go through.

I will be there (assuming I am not busy entertaining my clients that day)

Johnson family must be happy about your choice.

2 Italian restaurants just down the road for cocktails. (can't smoke inside due to state laws) La Scala or Moretti's Moretti's is really small.
1 ribs place (very new place) which is a franchise from Cincinnati called Montgomery Inn Restaurant famous for their ribs. I assume they have good cocktail service and possibly an outside section to drink and smoke.

So, what is the plan? Do we have some places lined out for Lunch and Dinner? for a little show and tell, an after dinner cocktail and cigar? Inquiring minds want to know......

Yep. I'm in the process scoping out some places for Lunch/Dinner, maybe a place to meet before hand for those that want to get some Breakfast or coffee.

That area of Columbus around Sawmill is pretty crowed and I'd like to keep it as simple as possible for those that might not be that familiar with the are or will follow us.

Stay tuned.

Not a problem, Mike. I have the world's best navigator. Would love to see if we can break the Louisville aggregate wrist-shot tally, which I think is at 24 people at once. (personally, I don't count the doubles as 2, for the folks that put a watch on each wrist)

Bill, would love to share a cigar session with you and Dan. Probably not permissable, but I'd be joining you in spirit

I SO want to be there but.......My wife is expecting our first on October 12TH. So, unless someone here wants to adopt me, I'll have to play it by ear.
