AP personalizes the movement? In what way you can personalize it? Don't really agree about facsimile, they are totally different IMO apart from being both 79's Genta designs, one novement is the old one, very delicate from what I hear if you don't service it every 5 years, but you can't say it's held in higher regard, maybe by hard core AP fans, but I assure you maby prefer the PP one

I prefer the Jumbo. Not a fan of the 5711

I believe you are referring to the rotor being customized (for a price). It is a nice addition assuming you'll hang on to the piece.

In fact the fun way to do such a thread is to post it in the PP section as well, you'll get totally different answers there as many don't come to this section

The link above has very detailed information on the comparison between the 15202 and 5711

Sorry to post again, but wanted to add that for me the best to have is a Nautilus, and from AP a ROO, some have the Jumbo and ROO's but they are quite similar, while a Naut, whichever one and a ROO makes a sporty PP and a real sport AP, that would be the best way to go if you can get the Nautilus and then get a ROO, anyways like is said in the thread above that Gus posted in which he wrote the pros and cons of each, the 5711 is the easiest to wear, won't write again the details of that since it's in the thread, I think as a daily the 5711 beats the 15202, seems that a few Naut owners wear them as daily but usually AP owners rarely wear the Jumbo as a daily and usually have it in rotation with other watches, but again both are beautiful watches and it's great to be able to have any of them in a collection

Pretty equal pieces. I favor the AP simply because it looks more interesting, the 5711 not as much. 5980 is another story, I'd take that piece all day.
