I went white. Just wanted a something a little different to keep the collection diverse (blue, green, black, white). I also like that the white is very legible.

Pick white.
Reason: better contrast.

Gotta go white! It’s s classic look. Plus you can actually read it! I have had both and sold my black for that reason. Cheers.

Essentially, my dealer has informed me that I can only have one dial colour. Not both! That’s regardless of one coming in & then me asking to wait for the next one to add. The answer is no.

I just think it wears better..
But wearing black dial now and it’s really hard to choose between to be honest

I went with white in your poll. I have mostly black dial watches and probably actually prefer black. In my mind though a Daytona should have a white dial if nothing else than nostalgia's sake.

I prefer the steel 116159LN as its a full panda, sunburst dial and a 6263 Big Red throwback...but if talking stainless, I greatly prefer the black 116500 as its much more versatile than the white.

White is definitely better for this reference.

I chose white as I have many watches with black dial.

I’ve always loved the stainless steel predecessor and would always opt for white in that reference.

With regards to the current ceramic version, I would always go black.

My reason for this is because whilst I love vintage references, generally speaking I dislike modern ‘vintage’ looking watches.

People like the white dial version as it almost celebrates the Daytona’s of the past, whereas I find the black dial staying modern, and in my opinion, better looking with the black ceramic bezel.

I thought I would prefer the white dial but I saw them both at an AD yesterday and really liked the black. If and when I get the call, it will be a tough decision.

White. I've only seen the black, it was relatively difficult to read the time. White appears to be much more legible.
Also not many choices with Rolex for white dialed sports watches.

With Daytona the answer is always white no matter the reference.

Is that because White is the colour associated immediately with the Daytona? You think Daytona & White is the associated colour?

Offered Black

I was offered a black Daytona last week at my AD. Turned it down cuz I like the white one a little better. Now I am a doubting myself thinking I may never be offered a white one and should have taken the black. Ugh. Regret. Hate it.

I wonder what the answer would’ve been if the black one was the more rare!
That’s IF they produce less of one dial color

I also was offered a black Daytona a couple months ago, but passed. I’m holding out for the white. Needless to say, I’m still waiting but don’t have any regrets. As stated before, Rolex offers very few white dial options in the professional line. White will be worth the wait!

Yes, I believe so. I think the white dial looks best in every iteration of the Daytona including YG.
