A week with an Explorer I 114270

Hi
I bought an Explorer 1, 114270, 36mm case last week, I like it a lot. It feels comfortable in my 6,5 wrist but, I do not know why it feels smaller than a common Datejust 36 mm. I am not complaining at all, it is just a simple doubt and I dont find the reason why it feels smaller, more similar than a 34 mm I would say.
Someone feels the same and why would be the reason ?
Thank you very much for your valuable opinions

Cool watch! Must be the wider lugs of a 6 digit DJ?

This.

But I found the narrower lugs of the 114270 give the impression of a longer lug-to-lug length giving both similar wrist presence even though the 6digit is heavier.

The 5-digit Datejust 36mm is similar to the Explorer 36, but the 6-digit DJ has the widest lugs and visually seems wider

You might just need time to get used to it.

Heck I had a 14270 and thought or felt it was small. Sold it regret it so much..
Thankfully I was able to find an M Series 114270 now and while its still a 36mm size I feel its perfect. Not small at all and even on Nato or GasGasBones straps I think its great. My wrist is 7.25in BTW and over 200lbs guy.

I used to think if the Exp1 had the WG Fluted Bezel that it might wear larger, but all in the head really
