Dear TRFers:

Just an idea for a Friday evening...

1.- Prepare her/his favorite meal, or order it from her/his favorite restaurant

2.- Set up the table. Candles. Bring out the fancy decors, dishes, silverware...the whole nine yards.

3.- Open a bottle of champagne, or a nice wine.

4.- During dinner, compliment her/him. Have a nice talk.

5.- Tell her/him how much you both need some 'you' time; and how Vegas is perfect for a nice weekend getaway.

6.- Book tickets for the 2016 Vegas TRF GTG

Anybody coming from Texas? It looks lonely on the map without a red star.

Our friends in the USA will celebrate Thanksgiving this week....a perfect time to be thankful and spend time with their families...no better time to ask for a 'free weekend' for yourself to attend 2016 Vegas GTG

Please find as follows average rates per night considering Fri-Sun stays. Just sharing, hope this helps Remember: the idea is to have a good time; where you stay makes no difference at all.

One the oldest steak houses in town is at Circus Circus. At one point it was so highly rated you couldn't get in unless you had reservations months in advance. It was one of my first steak places I had gone to when I got the chance, over 30 years ago. Old school, service was very good and nice aged steak. Very .70's decore, dark wood, open kitchen right in the middle and and aged meat room you can look right into when you walk in. Smells are amazing when you walk down the stair to it.

Haven't been there for a long time so not sure how it's doing, but won some kind of Zaget award a few years ago. Always an option if you get the chance.

A colleague form the office was there 2 months ago and said quality is still there. He also went to the new steakhouse at SLS and said it was 'mind blowing'' 'the absolute best restaurant he has been to'. I have not tried it, just sharing.

I was there in September. Not bad, not bad at all. Prices are about 2/3 of the big names, and they have happy hour pricing on cocktails and wine. Service was old school steak house style and the food was very good.

There are a number of options, specially in Vegas. What we look for is a place that can accommodate us and provide certain things in order for everyone to have a good time (space, lighting, environment, probably a private room, ease of transportation, etc.)

I have already contacted some of the places; once we have the final number of attendees I will go back to them and will have a better idea of which places might be good options.

Once again, there are many great places, and I am sure we all have our 'best'; will keep working to provide the best experience.

To everyone that has confirmed, and as we did this year, final agenda will be PM'd and not be shared online for security reasons. Last thing we want is to advertise where a bunch of Rolex aficionados will be at.
