How will a dj41 wear in comparison to my

30 year old sub, new gmt root beer or incoming ym?

I have tried them on a few times and I can't help but feel they look a tad large on my 6.75" wrist. Obviously the larger dial is at play here, but case wise how does the dj41 best square up to the above? If only a dj39 existed.

the case on a dj41 is actually like 39.5 so the name is misleading. it will wear smaller than a modern sub/gmt, maybe around the same as a 5 digit sub

It does. They named it the DJ41.

Isn't it ironic that the DJ II was 41mm and then they replace it with the official DJ 41 which is not 41mm

take with a grain of salt as I think most will disagree but I actually find a dj41 wears a bit larger on me than my 6 digit sub and gmt.

it’s true the dj41 case is a touch smaller, but it’s got a thinner bezel, larger dial and narrower indices, which all together makes the watch feel larger on my wrist.

personally I love a 40mm sub or gmt but prefer a 36mm dj.

My own experience of a quick try out in the store mirrors your thoughts. My GF has a 36mm that looks great when I see it on her and others, but feels way too small to me, and I ain't big wristed. She's got the aubergine with a few diamonds!

Given my gf has one I'd love to match with jubilee, fluted bezel and Romans (Azzuro). But very unlike me I'm thinking eff it, get the diamonds! Like the batons too, but not as much as the aforementioned. I think it'll fit fine, no awful overhang, guess the optics will just make it feel larger.

Its an odd fellow. Sometimes it looks bigger than it is but it will always wear small on the wrist especially with jubilee. Mainly because it is so low and so comfortable. When I put the LN on after wearing it the LN seems massive.

It will wear large. With a sub 7 in wrist I would go for a 36.

I agree with this. I’ve been a sports model guy generally speaking overall (I don’t have as many sports models now). However I love the DJ41. It looks a bit large at first, but the slimness and comfort of it all it feels much smaller. It actually fits very similarly to my old 16750. The sport models although they sound smaller at 40 vs 41 feel quite a bit chunkier and larger. To me personally I feel the DJ41 is the perfect all rounder.

I’ve got a DJ41 and a modern sub ceramic last model. Dj is comfier (even on oyster) but size wise there’s not a lot in it. If a sub looks good on you then it’s a given that a DJ41 will too. Much more elegant shape and relatively bigger dial make it wear large but pretty flat.

I had a 5 digit Sub, and now own a DJ41. Mine has a jubilee, so slightly more comfy IMO than than the old oyster bracelet, but other than that they are very similar in weight and size.

I have a DJ41 and like others have said, wears like a 39mm. Should be on par with your older Sub and will wear smaller than the modern GMT and the YM.
