My 2nd Rolex - well not quite

I've been after a black dialled Tudor Chrono with white inner dials for over 2 years now and one finally arrived in the post today!!

The wait was worth it as I love it! It's a cracking looking watch and the Rolex / Daytona connection is obvious to see (tbh I prefer the look of this to the modern Daytona). The Tudor brand adds a bit of mystery for me as well as they aren't sold here in the UK and there seems to be very little information about the brand on the net.

This one dates to 2006 and has just been polished by a jeweller so it's nearly as new. It's has a nice quality, solid feel to it (better than my sub). The screw in pushers are a nice touch and I was surprised to see it has a trip-lock crown.

Anyway here's the pics (including one with a member of it's more well-to-do extended family!):

Cheers,

Dan

WOW thats a magnificent watch. What's the exact model name of that? I really have looking to purchase a tudor chrono, but not the new ones really, pretty much the ones from around '02. I think those are magnificent and i def prefer them over the daytona - i dont know why

Thanks mate! The model number is 79260, but that isn't specific to the dial / bezel colour (of which there are many variations). This colour combination appears to be quite rare as I've only ever seen a handful on sale.

Tudor were on sale in the UK until the mid 1990's I believe. Because of this nowadays hardly anyone (except WIS) have heard of Tudor here.

Congrats!

Got this one recently:

If I understand things correctly it is one of the last of this version. Bought NIB from AD this year (!)

Now I am looking for an Oyster bracelet for it... to get this (with proper end links of course...):

I have to admit though, that the current bracelet is extremely comfortable!

Here it is again, with photoshopped shiny middle links:

Best,

A

I'm with you on the Oyster bracelet - it looks great on this watch! I'm sure I'll be looking to to get one in the future as well.

Cheers,

Dan

Congrats on a real stunner, Dan! Great minds, with similar names, think alike. As you and others have stated, I love these chronos better than the modern Daytona Really like the original jubilee style Tudor bracelet too.
