Researching watch collectors
My AD passed on this link to take part in a survey on watch collectors. I thought it might interest you guys, here is the message from him:
The industry’s leading research company, LGI Network, is launching the first in-depth survey of luxury timepiece collectors. I was hoping you could participate in the survey and mention it to others so that they can participate as well. This is an industry-wide initiative that will provide important feedback to brands and the broader collector community. CEO’s of most leading brands rely on LGI’s information to make critical product and business decisions. In addition to being able to voice your opinions, as a respondent, you will receive a confidential copy of the survey results. The results will include unfiltered feedback on brand reputations, purchasing and trade-in practices, pricing, and much more. The survey is being administered by LGI Network and will be conducted via the web. Feedback from respondents will be kept confidential, and precautions will be taken to ensure individual responses cannot be identified. To enroll, you simply need to visit: www.lginetwork.com/collector.html During the first week in February, each collector that is enrolled to participate will be sent a customized email invitation to take the survey. |

How can time-intensive research be done if you can't support yourselves with it. I have absolutely no investment here one way or the other, but my profession is in market research for a different industry and I know this stuff can cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to get done.
I'm not sure how long their survey will be, but unless it's really long I'm interested enough in seeing the results that I'll likely participate (participants will get the report). |

If I get a cut of how much they will be billing the clients for this omnibus study. I am in. Otherwise, I am not.

Agreed. There are surveys for exotic car owners and they typical offer $500 for our time.
