Rolex 1680 red sub - need help!!!!

Hi

i am new on the forum and would like to request your advice on my red sub.

I am not sure if it is a mark iv or v, could any one help me to identify the specific model?

In the other hand i would like to know an approximate price for this watch.

Looks like a mark V to me, due the position of the "f" under the "M". Also, the 660 has open "6's", but much closer to being closed vs the mark IV dial.
I would think your serial number is after 2.45-3.99m, which the the mark IV dial range.
The values are pretty broad considering the condition, so I won't show my lack of knowledge there.

Rolex 1680 red sub - need help!!!!

Looks nice but I'm having a hard time seeing the breaks in the 6s from those pics.

Is the date wheel white or silver?

The dial is a Mark V. On the Mark V dial, when viewing the 6s in 660, the openings in the bottom loops of the 6s are just barely open - like on the dial depicted in the first post. The other attributes of the depicted watch dial also identify it as a Mark V.

Have your been to the double red sea dweller web site? DRSD.com has a lot of info there on the red Submariners as well as the Sea Dwellers.

Really nice watch. The insert looks like a service replacement because the font is thin, thicker is more desirable. Same for the white date wheel, the original would have been silver and more desirable.

Case and dial look superb. Nice folded link bracelet too.
