Play in the movement?

When adjusting my lv, there seems to be some lag between the crown and the hands. Meaning I can move the crown 1/4 turn or maybe more before the hands move at all. Same in both directions. Is this normal? I thought being mechanical it'd be very tight. Thanks.

There is a tiny bit of play in my Watches but nowhere near 1/4 turn.

Same here, I have a little "play" as the gears mesh but nowhere near a quarter turn. There has to be some play, not sure if this varies or not though. Someone with much more expertise than I have will chime in shortly I'm sure.

This is not normal function. How old is the watch? It's time for a trip to the the service center.

It's only abut three years old. Dead accurate though.

My AD just said "oh, never noticed that before". Sounds unlikely.

It's probably the crown. Don't "play" with it more than you have to. I don't think it's inside the movement.

Thank you Vanessa. Wonder if this would be addressed by a service.

Yeah, they'll estimate for a new crown most likely if it seems like a necessity. It may be fine the way it is, just a little looser than usual...
