Incoming. My first Patek!

After a year of back-n-forth between a 3940, I decided on the 5320. I hadn't been able to locate one locally so took a gamble buying it without having worn it, but after seeing it finally in person yesterday I'm relieved to say it suits me perfectly. Though I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, I absolutely adore the luminous hands and numerals, the cream dial, and the diameter is much more to my liking...I can't stop staring at it! Thanks to those who have chimed in to my various posts about these two references...I think it really steered me to the right piece.

Very beautiful. Are you going to wear it as a daily/semi-daily?

I wore it yesterday with basketball shorts and a t-shirt, so I'm sadly turning it into a daily whether it looks silly or not. I just can't take it off!

Hey Tom. Did you buy yours at Razny? They never had got one in stock for me to view. I think you have a black strap on yours? Any advice on vendors you've tried, or colors/textures? I feel like it's an interesting enough watch that it could pull off some cool strap combinations.

Thanks again for the note and hopefully see you around town.
Troy

I really struggled with the decision, and your recent posts and photos made it that much more difficult. I have been fascinated with the 3940 for years, so I really couldn't believe I was considering anything else when I finally came to terms with spending this much money. My mind was definitely pulling me to a 3940 in rose or WG, but there was something about the lumed numerals and creamy dial that swayed me. In a perfect world you would be my neighbor and we could swap watches every week!

Thanks for your counsel, and your nice note.

I know! This way I don't the trade-in hit as I move my way up the ladder. I have done that before.

Thanks for the note.
