do the Geneva pick-up, there's gotta be a free coffee mug out of it at least!

I have seen many guesses, but does anyone know how much a routine service of a Bleu costs? Even a boutique I asked would not give me an actual figure.

After that, I simply called up the Geneva boutique. They required a 30% deposit to be placed on the list, and gave me a March delivery date. From order to the e-mail notifying me the watch has arrived was just over 4 months. I would highly recommend going this route - the staff at the Geneva boutique are excellent and courteous and seem to have good insight into arrival times.

If you have the time and the spare cash, pick it up in person. I haven't been to Geneva since the FPJ has bitten, however I'm hoping to get there later this year. To visit the manufacture and then also perhaps to see some others.

I haven't had to service mine yet but for what it's worth, I was told by a boutique it is roughly around $1600 USD. Perhaps others can share first hand experience.

It’s $1400 and includes a new band... That makes servicing around $1000 (they will put a new band on it like it or not though).

Thanks for that. The price, while maybe on the high side, is reasonable. May well have to put my name on a wait list.

Great shot Jay! You did the dial justice there.

Here is mine next to my other 39mm blue dial.

As an update I won't be picking up the watch until mid-May. The plus is I've arranged for an in-person pickup and for a tour of the manufacture!

Congrats! I tried one on a couple years ago when they were much easier to obtain, kicking myself for not sealing the deal at the time. You'll love it.

Journe is one of those brands that I was repulsed by at first, but has very quickly achieved "I NEED IT YESTERDAY" status. I am absolutely mesmerized by them and hope to own one within the next year or two.

I wanted to share a couple of recent acquisitions. I have had the FPJ itch for quite some time and it took me a couple of years where to go first. I have handled numerous models and tried on countless times and it was so difficult to make the decision. I felt like each and every piece I tried on, all the way from the CB/CS all the way to pieces like the Optimum and Tourbillon, where just so difficult to choose between. But then a chance encounter led to this first purchase and I honestly thought it was the perfect start. Rose gold case (I try to keep my white and gold medal watches in a 1:1 ratio) mixed with the havana dial is so playful and elegant at the same time I knew that this was absolutely the way to go for the first go round.

image1-6.jpeg

I could not take the watch off my wrist for weeks. Casual wear, walking the dog, suits, you name it, I wore this watch with it. I have had this feeling about a watch two other times in my life, the AP 15400 in steel (loved it so much I had to have it in gold also) and the Patek 5205. I knew I had to have a second one immediately. But this model has caught my attention from the start. It is the perfect case proportions and I think it is a no brainer in platinum. In my humble opinion, the instantaneous jumping calendar is one of the most innovative functions on the market today.

Now it is definitely time for a break, but I am already on the hunt for my third.

Black Label

Any thoughts on collectibility/resale on Black Label watches?

Seems to depend on the model, the CS Black in PT or RG does not seem to carry much of a premium whereas the higher end of the range such as the Resonance and Optimum seem to carry a reasonable premium (over resale of similar non black models). This is based on my observations of the resale market over the last few years.

The Resonance Black Label. Collectible ? Or just take a bit less of a bath on resale?

Super quiet here so thought I'd share one of my favourite FPJ's, especially since it was recently mentioned above :)

Went to the boutique, first time handling them in person. There goes my plans for a Moser or another patek.

Absolutely amazing watches. The FPJ is an incredible brand. The Chronomètre Souverain is next on my wishlist.
