The servicing costs anywhere from like 2000-6000 for servicing the watch

That would be a phenomenal decision if so. Much more interesting dial than the blue Tribute Duoface in regular production.

I own this same model and it’s a spectacular piece! One of my favs in the collection!

Does it have to be new? The older Master Control perpetual 140.6.80 is available with platinum hardware and a navy blue dial.

Love that watch. I had one myself up until a little while ago. I sadly had to let it go to help fund some future purchases.

Congrats. It’s a beauty.

Just got a call/email that delivery is in mid 2024, and they want the full deposit now.

I will pass on this, with the price increase and full payment 8-9 months in advance.

I don’t blame you at all. That’s a ridiculous ask for a brand that isn’t even doing well.

At this point I’m fed up with JLC.

I had the red burgundy reverso but sold it to fund something else. I was planning on getting either the reverse Chronograph or the red lacquer reverso with the gold case next year but the prices are just stupid. There’s just no value there at the retail asking price. I don’t know what their thought process is. Even before the slow down in the watch market JLCs weren’t even holding their value. I can’t speak for everyone but they probably lost me as a customer. Both of the watches I was interested in are around 25K. At that price I just rather get something else.

The inability to access Rolex has me researching other brands and I think the JLC Reverso is in my future.

The model I like seems to be discontinued. Any ideas on where to best source the Q2718410?

The interesting point to add is that the final price you pay for the watch is dependent on the MSRP of the chrono at the time of collection, which is now as far as 2026-2027. Given how JLC has increased prices this year (some examples +20% this year alone!), i am worried , if they increase prices of (conservatively) 5-10% a year, how much will that chrono cost in 2026-2027.
Exactly, this is what I’ve been saying. Pretty much all brands will require you to pay landing price.

Stunning watch. If only it had 20mm lugs and normal colour lume, it would have been perfect (for me)!

I’m seriously considering a Reverso Tribute Duoface Calendar. They’ve bumped up their pricing and expecting it to go up come January. It’s too expensive IMO for what it is. Where can I a get a gently used one at an acceptable price?

Which models cost 6K to service? JLC actually makes some very high-end complications so this may be true.

JLC makes mostly dress/business watches and not hyped sports pieces.
The US service center has mixed reviews. I was actually encouraged to discover that even recent complicated pieces are returned to Switzerland for a full service. I also have heard that service can be expensive.

JLC makes high quality, conservative watches that have no hype, and so resale is average. In my opinion, JLC has been a great value in steel (gold on the secondary market), but their recent price increases have been too much too fast, even though I think they're now appropriately priced. Still, it's hard to stomach a 40% increase for some models in a year or so period. Their Texas service center is abysmal, but their Swiss service center (finally) fixed Texas' mistakes for the original reasonable service price. JLC make some amazing pieces, but their normal offerings haven't changed much in years, so it is difficult to stomach the current list prices.
