You're absolutely right, especially when I bring my own fondue fork...

Most people here in the Netherlands don't celebrate halloween, I am one of those people.

Judy, hows your hand doing?

I got something to share, I got my first tattoo several months ago (June), the constellation of Orion.
I've always loved astronomy and my favourite constellation is Orion so I wanted it as my first tattoo (probably not my last)

Pretty simple, meaningful (to you) and nice...I like it!

Are you thinking about getting more? I haven't got any myself yet because I fear I'm going to go all in with them...

I might get more but since they are expensive and they are of course permanent I will need to overthink this more thoroughly.

Cool Tat Bas. Simple and not garish. :-)

The hand is there. :-( Another 2 weeks with this cast & we'll see where we go from there.

On a sad note...I am having my car started installed this afternoon. I don't have one & was a gift from my brother so in it goes. Cold leather seats make you jump.

I hope your hand will be better soon, I can imagine it to be very frustrating especially since you've had this problem for so long now.

I forgot to add why a car starter is making me sad....WINTER IS COMING.

I need to start chewing Vit D by the handful.

Bas...it's really been testing me. I cant help my mother much because doing her care requires 2 hands. I do try & unfortunately have knocked it against her a few times. But, if no one's around, I have to do it. I missed out going to Cuba because of this cast. Socially it's been isolating. I get to the mall & hang out with my girls but thats not what I'm missing. I cant stand it. I want it over with so I can continue with my life. Sounds dramatic I know, but working, dressing, gym, doing activities of daily living all encompass a life. ** sigh **

Ok...here's my happy face.

Hi y'all, hope you had a good weekend.

Popped into town tonight, had to see the poppy moat at the tower. Then saw Mr Federer bat some balls about.

That's quite a display of Poppies. I watched a segment on the news.

Great shot of the tennis match. Did you have a nice time out in the city?

My weekend was pretty quiet. My brother & family came over today for a few hours. The kids were anything but quiet. Was fun to play with them. Well...as much as I could with this arm in a cast. I'm almost as good at colouring as my 5 yr old nephew. Pssst....I let him win.

Leo...I hope things are going ok & that the fall weather isn't playing havoc with your joints.

Here are a few fun cards I came across online..... (I hope I'm not offending anyone..mods to remove if they think they should)

Hope everyone has a good start to their week. :-)

Hi Wes, I think they were removed. ;-) I'll get them to you. I found a quote from Coco Chanel I like...." You live but once, you might as well be amusing". Either you can pull that off or you are very annoying instead.

I came across an old pic today & immediately thought...what kind of watch would I have worn cruising around in my 1st sports car. I don't look happy. Maybe my Ferrari (I'm Italian, it should be a Ferrari) ran out of gas.
I think I look to be about 2, 1968.

Too bad the pic wasn't more focused. I do see the older me in that pic of my much younger self.

I'm curious, anyone else have pics of them in a car when they were little? Show em off.

Nope just me in a car a lot older.

This is me when younger, mum holding me, and my brother.

LOL @ Daytona & Toys R Us.. Thats very clever.

That car is sexy hot.

You look so cute. Reminds me of the Cone Heads from Saturday Night Live. I see your older self in your baby pic too. So cool.

Hi All...came across this Weird Al Yankovic video for Word Crimes tonight & thought I would post it. Made me think about my grammar classes so long ago. I don't really know short hand texting & still pretty much type out what I'm trying to say in full sentences. Ahhhh...the good old days.
