My Aquanaut had some cosmetic surgery.

I recently purchased a P/P Aquanaut with a s/s bracelet for the price of one with rubber. After receiving money for my birthday from family and friends l bought a rubber strap and deployment buckle. Changing the strap was pretty straight forward with the right tools. Having one go to getting the rubber strap right can be difficult and time consuming. Both buckles are the same length when open, so using the length of the bracelet as a guide made it easier to a point, where l still made some fine adjustments. Rather be safe than sorry, as l only had enough money to buy one strap.

So what do you prefer to wear metal or rubber?

I prefer the rubber. Although, for a brief time I did consider the SS bracelet.

Very nice!

However I still don't understand why Patek doesn't make an alligator leather strap for this watch, it would look soooooooo good.

I'm biased. But I like it better on the rubber. You have the best of both worlds now.

Nice to have both! Well done.

If I may ask... What tool did you use to remove the bracelet. I've been afraid to scratch mine up with a strap change.

Anders, l had a wonderful birthday. I agree that the 5711 looks great on S/S, but l'm a fan of the white dial. I know you will disagree.
