My biggest hang up on the 5167 is I don’t know if I would ever wear it with dressier attire whereas I would with the CB.
i wouldn't do it on a regular basis, but in a pinch i would do it before wearing a sub with a suit and people do that all the time.

Sport jacket and jeans for sure as its perfect for that.

I wear my 5164 in a suit all the time and have gotten quite a few compliments on that pairing. That said, my office is pretty casual. I've even worn it in full court attire (vest, white shirt, gown, etc.)

I wear my 5167 on bracelet in more dressy occasions. However it really doesn't match my 5711A or my 5130-R worldtime. My order is as follows:

Casual --> Business Casual --> Blazer --> Suit --> Tuxedo

Aquanaut/Rolex --> Aquanaut/Nautilus steel --> Aqua(bracelet)/Nautilus/Worldtime --> Nautilus/WT --> Worldtime

With some nice cufflinks it dresses up quite nicely.

Those are GREAT shots, but to be fair that’s a 5164 not 5167!

I’m thinking the FB Journe CB/5164 combo is probably the way to go over the 5167 only + $38,000 combo.

My lean at the moment is to buy the CB as soon as possible, then add a 5164 later rather than buy a 5167 now and want a 5164 and a CB! But the money...

So tough to spend an extra $3,000 to get something INSTEAD of a Patek, but FPJ Bleu seems so much more interesting than 5167...

FPJ = much more watch for the money and the best blue dial in the business for me.

If my only watch, the 5167.

If part of a larger collection, and I need a dress piece, then the FPJ easily.

It's strange how many people will box the CB into the dress piece/more formal watch category. The case proportions allow it to be that if you need but in reality the dial/tantalum combination and the strap choice make it an everyday watch. For certain on darker straps, like the blue it comes on it's a more formal watch, but flip that to orange, green, grey, tan and it's a very casual watch.

I think it’s interesting that in the short time since I started this poll, the grey market asking price for the Journe has increased from around $21,000 (USD) to $29,500 (USD)!

Also, waiting lists at the boutiques have doubled...

Maybe i’m to blame?

Love the conviction, but the voting is currently 80-79 so i’m thinking there is a match going on here...

Have to say I'm a little surprised how tight the vote is. I didn't expect the CB to poll so well.

My choice would be 5167 as I dont find CB appealing at all.

Especially on the Patek subforum.

I wonder what the results would be if there was such a thing as an FP Journe subforum?

You should post pictures of your CB on this thread to make it a fair fight...

Don't the two kind of make a perfect collection? If only they grew on trees.

Each produced in small numbers. Each is highly coveted. They’re both offered at entry level prices for beginning collectors such as myself. Both are non-PM and come on straps.
