What is this? updated with pics

Hi my T serial 14060 with tritium dial and hands looks like this under a UV light.

The pic came out very purple under UV, but to the naked eye the indices do not glow, and are white/light blue with some visible blue specks in them.

The hands also do not glow and have that same white/light blue reflection of the UV, however there are many bright orange crystal like specks.

The pearl pip glows bright white under UV, but goes away immediately once the UV is taken away.

The indices, hands and pip do not glow at all in pitch black after being exposed to the UV light.

Is this all consistent and correct for this piece? Can anyone explain the orange specks? Thank you! (I hope the pics will attach!)

I'm sure it is ok. I doubt Rolex intended your Submariner to be used by UltraViolet seeing Aliens.

It may just be phosphor degradation. Tritium has a half life of 12.5 years. With a T serial, you are right at its full life.

The insert may be a newer replacement, hence its glowing bright.
