Aston Martin enters SUV game

Don't know how many people seen this yet but since we have some serious car enthusiasts on this form figure I'd post it, aston martin enters the SUV game

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/11/19/asto...89900-dbx.html

I personally like the front and inside is really nice. The back does nothing for me, looks rather weird and not sure about the price $190K? Probably other, better options in my opinion.

Why does an SUV need to go 186 miles and hour and 0-60 in 4.3 seconds???

How quickly do you need to get that parking spot at the mall really.

Getting a parking spot at Trader Joe's can be cutthroat. Every bit of speed helps.

Hey you never know when you have to race some old lady for that spot agree to some extent that after a while it's more of a mute point and more about bragging rights just to say that it can gotta up the competition somehow.

I’m enjoying a 4Runner rental this week. It’s a refreshingly simple no frills SUV that feels like it is from 20 years ago.

Sorry, lost my head there for a second. Forgot about Trader Joe's.

And James Bond can go shopping with it, once they attach the missiles.

There must be some sort of conspiracy among car brands to make every car and SUV look the same with the exception of a few styling cues. This one looks way too similar to a Porsche Macan or an Infiniti QX50.

Yep, it's called emissions and fuel economy standards. Aerodynamics are largely dictating design.

Interesting. I'm about to move to Chile and a 4Runner is on my short list for vehicles to take. I haven't even driven one yet, but your comments confirm what I was already thinking, which is why it is on the list.

Man, does it ever look like an Infinity SUV from the front. Its going to be hard to distinguish the difference. I realize that Aston Martin and Infinity have a relationship with their RedBull Racing in F1, but this is a huge money SUV to look like an Infinity.

Yeah I typed AP and then laughed and figured a steel sub would be about all.

Regular turbo should be fine and pocket 40k for me.

That’s classic!!! What a great back and forth.

Ive actually got a new Turbo coupe being built. It was between that and the range. They pushed the build nearly six months, so I didn’t cancel it. But the range won out anyway.

If it comes in and is incredible, I might be in trouble. But I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I do really like this AM. But it sure is pricey. And while most of you think it’s boring, it’s super showy imho. Maybe someday.

Cayenne is fast as hell and is made by a company with above average QC and engineers.

Also cheaper.

I agree.

That will never cut it.

Same reason we have dive watches rated to 12,800 ft and 1000ft. Gotta love the looks of an Aston Martin

Looks like the Macan. I'd rather have that, get to 60mph quicker and leave $100K in my pocket.

It’s pretty handy on the autobahn - although would probably be limited to 155mph which is enough if the handling is SUV like.

Interior looks great - but exterior is all too familiar.

Our autobahns here are 15-30 MPH at rush hour. I guess the good news is you could get up to speed in 1 1/2 seconds.
