Dinner was slow cooked beef short ribs with polenta and balsamic roasted carrots, served with a nice full body Cabernet Sauvignon.

Had one of the best meals of my life tonight at a Costa Rican-Thai fusion place here in Reserva Conchal at the W hotel.

Salmon with pickled melon, zucchini, pea purée, and almond cheese.


Tuna tartar on a wonton with avocado crema.


Smoked duck with sweet potato gnocchi and plantains


A flan/panna cotta type dish with a white chocolate crisp underneath, a banana / chia seed crisp on top with a sugar cane based topping.


We’ll be going back here again before we leave. Yum!

Dinner @ Sapporo Revolving Sushi in Vegas... not NYC quality but family really enjoy the social aspect of revolving sushi and the selection of raw and cooked foods.

I recommend the Italian National White Truffle festival in Acqualagna. I went back in 2001.
