Beginning of this thread should include all relevant posts and the story by OP.

Seems like there should probably be some ground rules regarding "collection" posts. Many people on the forum don't have time to sift through 50+ pages of posts trying to a single picture each of 27 watches or whatever.

If OP's opinion is that the purpose of this thread is to make it some weird internet forum treasure hunt, rile people up, and prefers to make people "work for it" rather than listen to their story in one cohesive blurb, that's their choice. If there's one thing I know from web and UI design it's that the vast majority of users don't care enough to listen or read content if it's not presented in a way that's easy to access and get through. Anything else is just lazy and stubborn.

I am sure that most members who have read Steve’s post in full would disagree with you.
This thread is a fascinating story and one of the epics on this Forum.
It is not just a watch story, with a few photos.
It is one which unfolds as it proceeds, and the story of a very special man who has led an amazing life and suffered great tragedy.
Perhaps you may wish to read the full story, you will be richer for doing so.

I disagree. I came upon this thread because I look most am interested in seeing a collection of watches over a 27 year span. I actually started at page 1 and had the patience to read through the sniping and complaints, and then was provided a view into Steve's life from his watches. It was slow at first but the content of the thread and the support from readers improves to a truly interesting period in a person's life. Its more than the watch, but the watch conveys a shared interest that we all have.

Steve, thank you for sharing. I wish you well and I hope to see more of your adventures in the future!

My GMT

and my Sub C ND salute you!

Hilarious! Just another guy who wants to criticize as “lazy / stubborn” those who don’t say the things he wants to hear, when he wants to hear them, and in the format he would like. Keep up the positivity — good work bro!

Here’s a pic of my blue face DJ, if that helps anyone needing pix.
