It makes sense to update the YM with the new movement I guess. Maybe that's why they made some new dials the last year to get rid of their old stock lol

Black face YM doesn’t seem fitting, unless the pics have no relation to each other.

The top image with a focus on the hands- doesn’t it look like there is an extra disc above the seconds hand central pivot?

I think there are 4 hands pictured in the first image. GMT function of some sort or yacht master regatta timer?

Wrong lug. Since the GMT case was redesigned last year, they wouldn't redesign it again a year later.

That first picture is exactly the same dial and hands as the current GMT and sub?

i agree. I also think that means its not coming at all this year as you would lead with that i suppose. Because its not that, its not getting released this year.

So nog GMT (seems fair)
No DJ...

Perhaps a redesigned Sub (unlogical..)

I think a new YM with a new function perhaps? To differentiate from the current Sub

Maybe a SS ceramic YM, but I wonder if they'd use the YM as the teaser.

Or less exciting, they are teasing two new models.

Redesigned lugs of the DJ 36

And the first is??? Don't know that the tease would be. Don't see anything new

whatever it is, its probably going to be the focus of the year. IE the flagship release.

If its a YM, thats going to be the biggest release of the year i suspect. I would be happy with that however i do not think they will go away from a PM bezel on a SS watch. It is what makes a YM a YM

Possibly. There is that shooting star (or whatever it is) abruptly separating the shots of the dial and the lug. That could be indicating two different models, or it could be some other clue. Or just something cool looking to get us guessing. Who knows?

It could still be a PM bezel. I just bought a 116655 and its still a PM bezel with ceramic insert.

yeah the RG OF is the outlier and i do think the ceramic insert on that watch in particular is outstanding

It is the 50th anniversary of the first Sub Date this year. However, the 50th anniversary model in 2003 was a date model, even though it was only the 50th anniversary of the original Sub (without date).

The more I think about it, since the YM is one of the less popular SS sports models, this could be a chance to make a splash and bring it up with the rest of the hot sports models.

A ceramic insert = less PM = lower price = close the pricing gap.

At least they didn’t give it all away, like Tony making it back to Earth.

Exciting! Or maybe it won't be so exciting.. but I think JacksonStone is onto something with the YM. Makes sense to do something about that one. If so, the bezel design will be the most interesting part! Smaller numbers please

its a great watch and its underrated. Releasing one into this market and let the scarcity drive the demand isn't the worst idea.

Part of why people avoid it is because its not seen to be desirable. Its unfortunate as i prefer it to a sub.
