Icon8 Truly disgusting behaviour.

Many thanks to Shohaib and Rob. You guys, along with the moderators here are true gents.

It is truly disgusting that Chris would stoop down to such depths ie knowingly ordering fakes. I truly wonder how many people he has defrauded? The full extent of his con needs to be uncovered.

Wow so he's ordered fakes before it seems?

This just continues to get deeper & deeper...

Nonetheless great podcast even after reading chatlog & almost all the pages on TRF.

Hope justice is brought to this guy.

I mean, you can't really be surprised this guy knowingly (allegedly) ordered fakes, can you?

This has all got so crazy, talk about fact stranger than fiction!. This, the ginault expose, the guy selling fake vintage watches, you couldn’t make all this stuff up, Home and away has nothing on the watch industry exploits.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is $250,000 still in the field and owing by Chris.

Horology House fake Daytona audio interview with Shohaib the man who bought the watch

Having read every page on the original thread, I'm keen to listen to the interview tomorrow morning as I drive to work.

This is of particular interest as someone living in the area where the scams allegedly occurred. I've never ran into the guy though.

I'm very glad TRF exposed this. I HH got me scared buying used. But I'll get over it and will be even more vigilant than I have been in the past. I think the max I ever spend was about $1600USD from a non-AD private sale years ago and a bit more at a face to face deal. Both worked out well.

I really like the way TRF manages their classified section. I've never owned a Rolex but a big fan of this forum. The $1600USD watch was from a classified here.

THANK YOU Shohaib and Rob for bringing this to light, and Rikki for the interview. An occurrence like this is one for the history(forum) books. I wonder how deep this rabbit hole goes...

I'm sure it has provided a lot of insight for buyers out there to be vigilant, especially when dealing with tens of thousands in a transaction. The phrase Buy the Seller didn't work this time I guess? :( Sad Sad Sad

All the while stumbling upon on Bark and Jack video saying that on “face value” everything didn’t seem that bad before then bringing up some of the points about the fake pictures etc. I mean how can someone say not that bad period? He screen shot your avatar and posted it on his video before saying we all hide behind our avatars.

I just thought in my opinion he should’ve ripped HH to death or said nothing at all.

Just my 2 cents

“Just my 2 cents” more like “just my 2 brain cells”

I did rip HH to death, I spoke in detail about his “scam”, far more detail than anyone else.

It’s comments and attitudes like yours that bring this forum down. You either fail to comprehend English, or purposely spout utter rubbish.

My comment about the situation not being too bad on face value is the fact a high value transaction taking a long time isn’t unheard of. A watch going missing isn’t unheard of. And a fake watch being sent in place of a real one isn’t all the far fetched considering the seller is a Youtube who made videos about fake watches, therefore we know he has at least 1 fake watch. That was my point. Most people managed to understand it, well done for being part of the minority.

Regarding the use of Rob’s photos and post, all of this was cleared before hand.

Thank you for watching the video, but next time either watch it all and listen or don’t watch at all.

All good fellas. We are all on the same team here. Re-watch the video Samuel, B & J did a very professional and interesting way of presenting the facts for people fill in the blanks themselves.

Do the sales / DHL tracks (that go from HK to Perth) some what proof that all those packages were bought from a Fake seller?

If so then this would be of course quite disgusting...
The OP said he cannot divulge more info of that DHL spreadsheet.
After all that has been proven, you really feel you are entitled to more “proof”?

Sheesh....

Troll post is trolly.

And imgook would not post that info unless it could be backed.
Sigh.

Imagine how many people out there who bought over the past few years from Chris (HH) have a massive pit in their stomach, almost scared to have their beautiful Rolex checked to see if they’ve been wearing a fake.

Has anyone bought a real Rolex from Chris?

I’m neutral so keep it rational.

I found no delivery notes in DHL tracking for any of those numbers.

2 are not in the database and 1 showed this:

I believe the prior facts merit the investigations. Just that this data seems sketchy.

Great interview. Shoahib is a class act considering what he's been through.

Chris Essery prides himself in one of the whatsapp conversations of having done more than 200 sales. If true, Shoahib's testimony and other 9 or 10 victims in contact with him could be the tip of the iceberg. We could potentially have many more buyers affected. Some might never realise.

The sheer size of this is quite scary.

Has he ever offered an explanation or his side of the story anywhere other than that initial one where he admitted he sent a fake watch?

I still wonder what brand will give a scammer their watch for review, and then what is the credibility of what he says now that we know and he admitted (on his insta post) that he is a liar.
