Essentially they think it will be very challenging to see one of the new Snoopy out in the wild. All the pieces available will be placed to the customers on the list. Then they are working to create a market similar to a steel Daytona.
Or at least this is what Omega is trying to create.
If it works this way, with an official waiting list of 3-4 years and an additional boutique's list of interest to get on the official waiting list... you will have a premium price and that will be related to the old rule of demand and offer.
We will see if that is true or not.

Keeping a balance will be the right thing.
I don't think they will flood the market. It will totally defeat what they are doing by not doing a LE.
47th street in NYC is exploding with Batmans that nobody is actually buying, but they are still holding the value, for now.
I hope Omega will not go completely this way.
I don't mind waiting as long as there's a definite list and with an estimated time frame. If I'm told like what Rolex AD's do of 10 years for whatever watch, I'd just say forget it. But if it's put down a deposit and you're #10 on the list with 5 watches a year so expect 2-2.5 year wait, I can do that.

It makes sense since the OBs have such a limited footprint. I did not want to presume and give people false information.

Glad you could confirm in person.

OB confirmed again today as I placed deposit it’s NOT a limited Edition but Limited Production. Similar to 321 and NTTD. Won’t be produced forever either, expect a 2-3 year run at most, likely until next significant anniversary/ milestone release (not just Apollo 13 anniversary). Please - take into with grain of salt. No reason for OB to exaggerate, I placed the order way before any of this info was provided, but make your own judgment....

5k deposit for 1-2 years is crazy. I’d want a refund. Maybe 6mos. My OB told me in 14th. That doesn’t sound good

Was told I was 20th here locally yesterday and that I should receive the watch in Q1 2021, so no 1-2 years wait by the looks of it.

Let's see what happens when it's actually launched, seems to be a forum secret that deposits are already open and most non-obsessed watch people forgot about the original IG post

The local AD was completely in the dark whereas the OB had several details on the watch.

I'm getting on the list of interest for this. As per the most recent rumors it will be more challenging than getting a 5711 at retail.

Talked to my OB today. No news to share yet but this was the same info I got when I put my deposit down back in June. Looking forward to the news!

The idea of taking a deposit, without the knowledge of what the price of the watch will be, is confusing, to say the least. Out here in SoCal, the Omega Boutiques will not take deposits until the price is released.

On another note, going back to earlier this year, when rumors began to swirl about a new Snoopy, The Boutiques and ADs out my way have always stated "Limited Production, not Limited Edition".....that's the only thing about the watch they could confirm.

I think I 5k deposit is more fair if someone is getting the watch in a few months. I don't see how they coudl price less than 7k anyways (based upon where the other speedies are priced). If they wanted a 10k deposit, I could definitely see your point and concern.

Especially when they already have 321 deposit.

I recall the Beverly Center was taking deposits before. Last time I called, they were at 20 which was back in June. Maybe try there?

Spoke with them today..........if you give them $5,000, they'll take it with the proviso that there is no guarantee on delivering a watch to you.......here's from the actual email from my Sales Representative.....

"If you want, we can take your deposit now, $5k. But be aware delivery is not guaranteed as we do not know how many will be made at this point. I will add you to the waitlist for now with or without deposit.

I think this is also the case. I think the ones in socal have all filled up so much they are going to wait until they have all the info before taking any more deposits so nobody gets upset. A lot of people saw the instagram message back then and called right away :) Also coupled with a lot of fans being confident Omega would be releasing a 50th of one of the most iconic events in their history (including ones that put a deposit down thinking it would be for the Apollo 13 50th anniversary - that now are most likely just transferring to this), I think have filled many spots much earlier than this week :)

I can warmly recommend them in Atlanta. They will even ship it for you and they are still taking deposits. They should still be in their 20s and was told watch arrival around Q1, 2021. Ask for Sean, top guy.

Yeah, this is understandable and I think matches my last point a bit - they’ve been full of people on their list/deposits for a long time now so don’t want to upset anyone until they know how many are allocated :) You should be able to find somewhere though! Just call :)

Snoopy 50th Anniversary, made a deposit today.

Does anyone in the UK have any additional info if the ADs here are taking reservations/notice of interest?

Thank you!!

I can't wait to see what this release looks like, and I'm very relieved that it isn't a limited release so I may have a chance to pick one up down the road.
