Collection back online, looks like no additions yet, but very strange! Probably some backend updates caused it to dropout for a bit.

What boggles my mind is what you are doing on the Code 11.59 page... Super ugly collection

I actually really like the code, the first generation was really uninspired with their dials but AP has really turned the collection into something to look out for in the last couple years. The second generation with the fume dials I think is just top notch. The third generation in steel is great but it's a bit too sporty imo. If it's going to be that sporty it needs 100m water resistance to be a true GADA king.

I think my next watch will be the WG blue fume code 11.59.

Agreed with most of what you said, except for the water resistance. Maybe if they had rubber straps, but with the current straps you aren’t getting the SS models wet anyway so i don’t think water resistance is that important.

The code line up is amazing and I enjoy wearing my ss code more than my 15510.

I have this one, love it so far... it's my daily beater and what's best about it is only those that know take any notice of it actually being an AP where as those that don't know admire it as a good looking watch... a bit like it's wearer

it's a nice mix of casual elegance in a high horological package. the modern iteration of a dress watch.

I too was skeptical of 11.59 but after owning one, I'm enjoying it.

That is what I was thinking about pictures from your family reunion.

I am personally in the same camp as most people. Dislike it until I tried it. Now I have a couple.

Had the same experiences when I tried Nautilus many years when started on watch collection. Not saying Code = Nautilus though.

The new steel Codes are such a massive improvement from the precious metal ones, especially in three-hand configurations. They could certainty expand the appeal by introducing them in smaller sizes though, like ~39mm.

Other than to be able to snag a Royal Oak, why would anyone buy these watches?

They're well designed, far more nuanced than people give it credit for, and presents itself well as a contemporary dress watch

I have a Royal Oak and a Daytona and my code gets a decent amount of wrist time. Really worth checking out if you've never seen one.

I wouldn't trade the RO and the Daytona for the Code you have - one of the most beautiful watches they've ever made
