That would be a very nice edition!

I was able to secure an allocation for the ceramic version! Delivery should be toward the end of the year.

Initially I was leaning toward a 26405CE, then I was thinking about the full gray ceramic 44 that was released at SIHH and quickly pulled. When I saw this piece (thanks to WCL) I thought it was the perfect full ceramic option. No other watch publication even posted a picture of these ... true sleepers! And I'm really looking forward to having a relatively care-free weekend AP.

I’ve Ben able to get on the list; am thinking about whether to put put down a deposit.

Anyone know what is the material used for the pusher setting? It seems to have a satin finish and is slightly lighter in tone than the tone of the ceramic case/bezel.

Pushers should be either titanium or SS, but the black finish is an applied paint finish.

Excited to see photos of this!

So I did some more digging on the PoG limited editions. Other than WCL article linked in the first post of this thread, the only other article I found was this one. I used Google Translate and here are the highlights ...

Quote:
  • The 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall in November seems to be the perfect opportunity to launch this two-version Special Edition. Correspondingly, the limitations are also chosen: 30 pieces in red gold and 300 pieces in black ceramic.
  • The self-winding caliber 3126/3840, known from the other chronographs in the Royal Oak Offshore range, features a 22-karat gold rotor on both models. These are adorned in the finished models - at the SIHH 2019 were only prototypes - the silhouette of the Brandenburg Gate.
  • With an edition of 300 pieces, the 26415CE is the - in this context - volume model of the Pride of Germany. Not only will it be available through the AP Boutique in Frankfurt and the AP House in Munich, but it will also be available from selected concessionaires such as jeweler Rüschenbeck, Bucherer or Oeding-Erdel. Their price is 33,000 euros.
  • The red gold model of the Pride of Germany, however, is limited to just 30 pieces and therefore only on the AP House and the AP Boutique or Rüschenbeck order. The 26416RO beats with a price of 47,000 euros.

I'm very curios to see the Brandenburg Gate silhouette rotor. I wonder if it will be skeletonized or just solid engraved? At least we now know why they decided not to use the galvanized skeleton version like on the other 44s.

Are there any other strap colors you guys think would look good on the CE?

Maybe the gray one that comes on the Ti?

I think red GP strap would look the best.

hmm ... that could be interesting. Didn't consider the GP look. Not sure how the red sides of the strip would look with nothing on the dial to tie into. Might be worth a photoshop.

Sorry for the confusion ... I just posted that pic to show the gray strap that comes on it.

I was asking about alternate strap options for the Pride of Germany CE ...

So I went a little further down the Google rabbit hole. I found the ceramic version listed on the website of the German retailer, Rüschenbeck, with a stated release date of Nov. 2019 and a price of 33.000,00 € (LINK)

Interestingly, the images they posted look like AP stock images which have not yet made it to the AP site (or anywhere else on the web from what I can find).

Compared to the prototypes shown at SIHH, the CE version in the pics below has a RG crown tip.

In that case the GP strap with black sides is an option. Could even try the new camo strap with yellow slashes that can match up with the gold accents, thinking of that or the brown camo for my RG 44.

Is this the one you referenced with the yellow slashes? ...

The brown camo would look great on the RG 44 ...

The white rubber from the 26408OR might work for summer on the PoG CE ...

I am not sure about that ceramic with the rose gold accents. I am ok with the hands and hour makers being in gold but the bits on the outside like the crown!? I think those will soon get tiring. To me anyway.

Fully agree that the gold on hands and dial work, but the links really do not work for me and spoilt so much I would not buy (unless they could be swapped out for CE ot Ti ones)

Yes, I picked up the brown camo for my RG, looks really good and I'm very happy with it, the green camo with yellow also looked good with it as well.

I think the RG accents look great and really tie it all together. Hopefully I feel the same way once I see it in person.

I think a graphite/gray camo strap would look good on the CE PoG ... like the one Horus makes. If AP continues with the camo theme maybe we'll see one at some point in the future. Until then, it's probably best left on OEM black rubber.

It will look very good, also looked pretty good with my RG, but the OEM brown was best for mine. I'd get the grey too from AP if they release.

That's the Horus one? I would definitely prefer an OEM version but you're right, I think it would look great on the PoG CE. I agree that OEM brown camo was the best choice for your RG.

No, this was another cheaper one I got just to see how it would look. Horus should be better quality.

I've heard mixed things about Horus but if there is no AP option when the time comes, maybe I'll order one to try it out.

Here is a pic on the Carbon 44 and previous gen CE ...

I dont know how i missed this one!

I was in the market for a Ce and the dial on this one is interesting...

Now that its been a little while - do people still find the gold plots on the Ce a little odd? They stick out a bit to me and I am wondering if over time I would adjust to them

They look very nice, but I slightly prefer the aesthetics
of the current RG and CE 44.
But nice to see some more variety!
