Whichever bracelet you like better. That’s it.

At this point, that is exactly my thought process. Hoping that an Oyster trickles through, we shall see!

[QUOTE=Token74;9456396]Can’t imagine there will be a choice, I would be amazed if AD’s are going to get any more stock of the Oyster./QUOTE] I would be amazed soon, I imagine there is a few left out there that Rolex needs to distribute. I'm hoping my AD is on the receiving end for one of those. Quote:
I think it's roughly ~$250. On Jubilee seems to be the better value since you can't really source one for under $2500. I'm pretty sure you can source an Oyster for 50% of that. Quote:
I like them both, A LOT. That's why I was hoping I would get the 116710 and be able to source a Jubilee for it. I've read mixed reviews on the BLRO and folks trying to put an Oyster bracelet on it, however I did find another thread where it has been done. Sounds like I would need to find shorter spring bars, from a 116500 or 39mm OP. Shouldn't be too hard to find. At the end of the day, they both tell time ! Hoping for an Oyster, but won't be disappointed if I end up getting one of the first 126710's .

Go for the former. You'll be picking a legend in the 116710

126710 if you can get it. Nicer mov’t (much longer power res) and bracelet.

Decision Time and Seeking Advice - 116710 BLNR or 126710 BLNR
Thank you to everyone for the great feedback and poll responses, sounds like the majority of you agree with taking whatever I can get. Seems to be the common theme with the Rolex SS climate these days! I've already be monitoring reviews and first impressions of the 126710 from Baselworld and it's getting a lot of love from those outside of TRF.
I've spoken to my AD and confirmed in writing that if an 116710 trickles through, they will call / text / smoke signal / emergency flares / email me. If one doesn't come thru, I'll hardly be disappointed. Just means that I'll get the 126710 and will be just as satisfied if not more.

I'm one of the few voting for 126710. I am not a fan of PCLs on oyster bracelets. I like the jubilee, upgraded movement, & slimmer case. Additionally, I have oyster bracelets on my subs.

you just asked current BLNR owners if they think that their watch oughta drop in value because there is a new one out.

I prefer the oyster bracelet but it would be nice to get the updated movement.

The movement update isn’t a huge + IMHO. PR was already good, adding an additional day - does it really make a difference?
To me it comes down to oyster vs jubilee. I prefer the super jubilee to the new jubilee with the exposed clasp. I’d stick with the original and add a jubilee at a later date if you want one.

I've been on the AD's list for several months holding out for an 116710. Just asking if I should continue to hold out hope or let my AD know that I want the 126710 instead. Especially since I was told this week I am now #1 in line for whatever that is worth.

I prefer the oyster, in fact I could live without the pcl's, but go with what you can get as long as you don't have a strong preference. If you like the jubilee, case closed.

It boils down to which bracelet and movement you prefer... if this is your one and only Rolex then I would go for the new BLNR.. I would assume too that the watch you’re AD will get will be the old BLNR since the new one will not ship until 3rd or 4th quarter of this year.

Unless you're dead-set on a particular reference, get the one the AD offers first. It seems like you'd be happy with either one.

You probably will not have a choice.
Reserved the 116710 BLNR on Oyster in August last year. Due date late March. Got called the last week Thursday with the news that they cannot deliver the 116710 but that I will be receiving the 126710 BLNR somewhere in May. If not were happy to refund me:) |

Jubilee for sure, It feels fantastic, I have had 3 Oysters and a President, now I have 1 Oyster and a Jubilee. The BLNR is a slick watch.

126710 has a slimmer case that I prefer over the 116710. Between the two, just based off cases and overall comfort i would take the 126710.

This is a great question, having four GMT I think it depends on the rest of your collection, if you have other oyster bracelets then get the jubilee
