Demand won't fall
People are already out there, including some notable people in the press, touting that Rolex not releasing a new SS watch aka a home run will help with demand issues. Yeah right. All that will happen is stock will move slower for watches people do not want and if they come out with a hit next "Basel" demand will be even higher.
They may hope that people will cave and buy some of the less desired models. Perhaps. But the resounding sound I hear today is "my money is safe this year." Not sure how having unwanted stock on hand helps anyone but Rolex. Certainly not ADs unless Rolex plans to run them out of business. In other words I disagree.
