The threads on the tube look good to the eye. Why are tubes the usual problem? I can’t see the treads on the crown so I am assuming it’s the crown since the tube looks good to me.

I can't answer your question... why don't you measure it?
Typically, the crown and tube are replaced as a set if there is enough mileage on it that either is worn out.

Just wondering if my tube crown is indeed 5.2mm would that mean the threads are the same?
Meaning if I replace my 5.2mm crown with a 5.2mm crown would I be assured the crown will thread onto my existing tube giving the tube is in good shape. |
