Wow, thank you Goose 104. Those are amazing photos, maybe the best I've seen for the watch movement. I was candidly in the no 321 camp, but you have me doubting my beliefs!

Curious why you are in the no 321 camp?

Really more of a 'bang for the buck' reason on finite resources.

I mean before the photos, the run down list goes something like this in my mind:

321 or Snoopy? Snoopy. (About same list price right?)

321 or black Daytona? eh....Probably Black daytona for my personal taste.

321 or 1/2 of new AP ROC? Probably ROC.

No speedy or speedy? Gotta still have a speedy, and well, still like the speedy, but the previous generation speedy sandwich could get used all day long between 4.5-5.5 as a very economical point of enjoyment. So was less 321 is not good enough and more
311.30.42.30.01.006 is a lot of watch for the money.

But like I said, Goose104 has me rethinking everything now!

All good points.

I guess for me I like the history of the 321.
While it is on the pricier side, and there is a lot that can be acquired for that price, its just special to me.

i currently have a 3861 based Hesalite Speedy, and i would likely sell it in a heartbeat if a 321 was offered

They are good points indeed. I would say, however, that if these were available to view some may go away. I suspect many of the no camp have neither seen nor handled one.

For the record, as someone who owns both a snoop and a 321, I’d take the 321 all day. It’s just more special for me, and in the long term better looking. But it’s all personal taste so I agree (I’ve had a black Daytona also and I’d go 321 over that).

Thanks guys, glad you like the pictures - it is a pleasure to photograph. Next time I will capture the dial which is superb. I love the long lume, deeper subdials, ceramic bezel, older applied logo etc

Stunning pictures! This watch seem almost perfect (adjustable clasp..).

So.. I’m on waiting list for almost a year now with vague promises on getting the 1st or 2nd next coming to boutique. Found a reasonable deal on a new from grey and ordered on impulse today.

The AD sales rep said she told another client of her that he should probably have bought from grey when he saw one so I took her advice.

Still would’ve preferred to buy new from my AD but at least now I will secure one. If I get the call soon I will buy it for me and sell this to my friend.

Just got my 321 sized. First impression is very good! This is the sort of watch Omega can lure over Rolex collectors with. Size, quality feel and finish plus genuine history makes this watch special imao.

I owned a reduced and regular professional moonwatch but for me there is no comparison with this one. Never tried FOIS that might have been more to my liking due to case size but then it doesn't have this movement or bracelet.

The OB that previously were positive that Id get one end of last year or beginning this had a very snotty attitude when I inquired now again.

Apparently they picked up on this one is getting popular and have been told by Omega that punters have to “play the game” to get to buy this one. Basically buy a few Omegas and then maybe get allocation. It was almost comical to see this previously subservient SA being very happy to explain “the game” to me.

The thing him and maybe Omega does not get with this watch is that it’s probably the only interesting in all of Omega catalog for me, someone coming from mainly Rolex. I really do not care about Snoopys and other gimmicks, that is something Omega collectors can have for themselves. Maybe I would get into that too once I get my first proper Omega which is this 321 but let’s just say that the attitude from Omega sales assistant turns me off to explore much further.

Anyway I won’t let that detract from enjoying this piece.

Don’t understand your rant, you’ve got the watch.
321 was initially declared as limited production.

I was initially led to believe the boutique would sell one of these to me, quite quickly, but wasted long time waiting and around the time I was expecting delivery the tune changed dramatically so I had to buy from grey in the end.
