Buy what fits your needs better, I don’t travel much so no need for a gmt. I spend a large portion of my days on or in the water so a sub is my choice. I don’t understand why people ask strangers what watch they should buy, makes no sense… buy what YOU like.

My opinion changes daily but if you asked me today I’d give a slight nod to the LV. If you can get the hulk I would recommend it for you as you stated you liked it better than the 12LV. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Under most indoor lighting conditions the green bezel turns black from about 7 feet away. In a dimly lit room it turns black almost immediately. I love the versatility of the 12LV. And the green puts a smile on my face every time I see it. (The color of money) it reminds me to stay motivated. Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Great summary. If you're in love with the green sub vibes, I'd argue the Hulk is the one to get as its not going to get easier to get one in the long-term now that it is discontinued. Especially 2020 models.

Just picked up the LV. I always thought of myself as a GMT guy, but the proportions of the 12 Sub are fantastic and that AR coating really looks crisp. It's also a less busy design without the 24 hour bezel and extra hand on the dial. Plus, Glidelock!
That being said, I'm waiting on the BLRO as well. They are both fantastic. I will say though, that if it came down to choosing one, I may have to go with the LV. If I'm going to have color in the collection, green is my preference. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |

I also picked up a new ceramic LV this week (on my birthday!). It’s my first modern sub, as I’m a vintage Rolex guy. I’ve had some moderns, just not a sub.
I’m blown away by what a great watch it is. I’m not a flashy guy, so the modern Pepsi didn’t really call to me, nor the blue/black GMT. But this green on black dial is classic. Not too much green like the Hulk. And the less chunky case harkens back to my vintage subs. All in all a great watch. Highly recommended. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nailed it. Love the hulk sunburst as soon as it was released. I thought if rolex was to change it up, they should have gone black bezel with sunburst green dial since some don't like the shade of green in bezel and the green sunburst has so many unique faces. OP, I think the blnr on jubilee looks better and is more classy than blro.

When I bought this in early 2004 it was called 50th Anniversary Submariner. No silly nicknames and an awesome watch…
