What's the difference? 5270 vs 5204
Hey guys,
I'm been studying the classic patek model lines lately. I'm currently educating myself on the history of the perpetual calendar models. I'm up to the current day models, but I see two of them in the catalogue: 5270 and 5204. What's the difference? |

Nevermind, I think I found my answer.
5204 is split second (rattraponte) and 5270 is not. Right? |

Just one little button :)
Yes, from a movement perspective, split second vs. standard chrono. |

What's the difference? 5270 vs 5204
One was accidentally made with the wrong pushers, an upside down moon phase display, correctors unnecessarily sticking out of the case, and mismatched number sizes for the date.
The other one is a perfect PCC. :-) |

Movement: The 5270 is powered by the CH 29-535 PS Q movement, which is a relatively new movement introduced in 2011. The 5204, on the other hand, uses the older CH 29-535 PS movement.
Dial layout: The 5270 features a classic dial layout with the chronograph sub-dials at 3 and 9 o'clock, while the perpetual calendar information is displayed in apertures at 12, 6, and 9 o'clock. The 5204, on the other hand, has a split-seconds chronograph function and features the perpetual calendar information in sub-dials at 3 and 9 o'clock. Design: The 5270 has a more modern and sporty design, while the 5204 has a more traditional and elegant design. |

I think you’re confusing the 5204 buddy.

The 5204 is a marvel to behold. Patek at its absolute best. Just wish the case could have been a tad thinner.
