GQ has clearly made a concerted effort to intelligently cover watches. They have several very good write-ups in the last couple of months.

A snobby WIS will dismiss them for being too amateur but that is just jaded cynicism. GQ is not writing for seasoned WIS collectors.

Looks good on the rubber B! I am also not a fan of this model. Too many numbers on the dial for me. Color scheme is more youthful though and being the entry level piece will have it's merits.

For as long as I can remember, GQ has fondly looked upon the Air King.

Kinda like Car & Driver’s affinity for the Honda Accord. Sure, they like other brands and models, but the Accord ticks all the right boxes.

I just can't. We used to Have a staff member that suffered from chronic flatulence disorder. His nickname was "Air King".
