Getting stalked!

Have you ever been out shopping and have someone notice your watch while passing by you only to then realize they have turned around and now are right beside you?
I had this happen once in Mexico city, that guy had a gun and was eyeing my Submarimer.
It happened again today, but it was Andrew from TRF!
Needless to say, he noticed my 372 and wanted to talk. He was wearing his very sweet 390, and I got to put it on. It felt great on and is really a beautiful watch.

Great to meet you today Andrew, and let's see if we can get together sometimes and hit some of the 2nd watch shops that dot this city.
Cheers!

Andrew's 390, and my 372, wrist shots in the shadow of Taipei 101, now the 2nd tallest building in the world.

I couldnt help but to notice the giant PAM372 on Rich's wrist as I walked past him in Taipei, this is a watch Im considering so it was good to see it on someone's wrist, from a 3rd person perspective.

I thought I was stalking him like an Urban Ninja, silently and stealthily in the shadows.

Fortunately, I wasnt ninja enough and rich caught me eyeballing his PAM372 and we started a lengthy super watch nerd conversation about PAMs, grey dealers in taipei (there are a few good ones, PM for references) and taiwan based strap and buckle craftsmen.

about a minute after we parted ways, I bumped into an egyptian wearing a PAM243, taipei is a pretty international city these days.

Panerai is super popular in taiwan, even being the watch of choice for taiwan's recent most notorious villian / playboy, a young heir to a banking fortune who allegedly drugged and raped 60 B list starlets / models.

Nice write up Andrew.
The 372 looked good on you, so don't worry about the size. Just worry about who it will attract.

I did not know that about the villian / playboy. I'll have to get the scoop from my wife.
Let's do the nerd WIS chat again sometime soon.
Cheers!

And here I am (will post pics once I move on from the dam iPad) an Egyptian, living in the city of the highest tower in the world, wearing a 372 for only the second day! Happy!

Great story guys, thx for sharing

Yes, it sounds like Taipei is a great place to live if you're a Paneristi

Besides all the ADs, you also have (at least) two great strapmakers in your district! A very good friend of mine is also Taiwanese and lives here in Vienna. I asked him to pass by Ted's on his next trip home to pick us up a few straps
And then there's Wotancraft and their Flottiglia... ! Yes, Taipei's a great place for Paneristi

Yes, small world, and smaller when you meet people who have read your posts and you've read theirs.

Must feel good to be back on your wrist! Wear it in good health, and post some photos of your beauty.

Thanks Travelller! Yes, Andrew was telling me about Wotencraft and some of the merch they have. I know the Ted su line well, but am going to have to stop by Wotencraft to check out their unique buckles and all.

Take your PAMs out to Din Tai Fung...

Guys, my very good Taiwanese friend recommends that you take your PAMs (and ladies too, of course) here...

Thanks Travelller, Been to this restaurant a few times now. Great food!
There are several in the city, and one is very near my favorite 2nd watch shop.
The last time I was there I happened to see a guy wearing a stunning Richard Mille. I had to walk by his table a few times just to gawk at it.
Thanks for the suggestion!
