New Pam 164!

Hey guys I just got my first Pam! It's a G series 164 and so far I'm really enjoying it. Here is a quick pic-
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1349387988.636895.jpg

I traded it for my black dial-non GV Milgauss which wasn't getting much wrist time. I think I made a good choice... Now on to strap buying!!
Cheers!

Not bad for a non-base dial! Enjoy!

Looks Great! Congratulations!
I was looking at the 164 and 104 when I first started my hunt for what was to be my first Pam. Love the 164!
Wear it in good health and have fun dressing it up with new straps.
Cheers!

Congrats!! Of course I'm biased, but, that's one hot watch. Enjoy the strap madness!

It's a small world. Although I eventually went with the 164, I gave serious thought at one point to the black Milgauss.

Thanks everyone! So this is the story... While I was at the AD with my brother in law helping him buy his new watch (New Sub ND) I couldn't pry myself away from the Panerai case. I wanted one ever since.

I like the Milgauss a lot, and perhaps one day will own another one. Mine wasn't getting enough wrist time. Also, PCL are a bit much for me, a little more on the dresser side. I'm a casual dresser most of the time, so it's hard for me to wear certain watches. I'm really digging the Pam, great legibility and comfortable.

So that is how they got you.
Well, now you're in, hard to go back.
How are you liking the brown croc strap? I am looking at some after market croc straps now. Comfortable? Really dresses up the watch IMO.

Cheers!

Congratulations, an excellent choice after coming from a Rolex.
Rock reliable auto with a highly legible dial and practicality plus.

Welcome to another side of TRF.

Cheers
Richard

PS. I had a white Milgauss, my first NEW Rolex, nice watch though we didn't bond. Bought another Panerai on the rebound!

my

I really like the croc strap, it's classy and sophisticated. It can be dressed down with jeans as well. Only problem is, my wrist is about .25 +/-
So with the deployment buckle it's either a bit tight or bit loose and can't get it to fit right on my wrist. I just ordered a vintage military brown strap from Panatime and will save the croc strap for when I dress up.

I have about a dozen straps from Panatime and I feel they are a good bargain, not the creme de la creme but IMHO worth the $, and considering the # of watches and straps I have, none of them is likely to get worn out in my lifetime.

That said, I just ordered 2 from Micha, a Metta and a Mauser which I consider very special and unique.

The PAM's go so well with so many straps, and there are so many choices that it's like having a dozen watches.

I predict you'll have more straps over time. It's great fun at mostly reasonable prices. I like to have a variety of relatively inexpensive ones, and a few special ones....

JMHO...
