Icon19 PAM 372--Who's Buying?

Okay, I hear the 372 is starting to ship to dealers in the coming weeks. We all know about the 'wait list'.

I like the design, it's a big boy too (47mm), new in-house Panerai P.3000 calibre, 1950, exhibition case and the old school plexiglass 3mm crystal. At 3000 units, should be plenty once the hype calms down. $10K is steep, but it's unique.

So what has everyone heard on it hitting stores, and how many of you are buyers for this piece??

I think I am done buying watches for a bit, but that is going to be another huge hit for Panerai for sure.

I'm on the wait list at a couple of places, but that doesn't mean I'll get one.

Actually pretty much the only Panerai that interests me at this point, I wish it was 44mm though.

Looks nice, but at 47mm I wonder how well it actually wears.

I have my cash down for one. Like everyone else, I'm hearing September or October. I'm hoping my AD gets it in his next allocation, which I'll find out about in just under 30-days. Didn't come in August though.

I'm on the list, but no where near the top. I'm dying to try this thing on.

Dan, It looks quite alot bigger than the 116710LN, but it actually wears quite okay IMO.

On the list for one, but now I'm not too sure if it'd still sing to me. The 372 may look big on my wrist, because it was worn closer to the base of my palm instead further up (damn French cuff shirt )

Nice looking PAM, but I'm done for a while. I think a Radiomir will be next on my list, sometime next year.

such a gorgeous watch !!

Can't afford one today, the 360 took my hole budget LOL

But if it would take them 2 or 3 years to make these 3000 pce I could consider buying one in 2013

Great shots Eric...certainly a lot larger than I thought. I might need to rethink this one.

I am also on the list to be called very early if not first from my AD.

Having second thoughts due to the market though. I can still do it without a doubt, but there are going to be some good buying opportunities in the coming months for investments. 10K+ for this watch might be better used to jump into some undervalued stuff.

Imho, way overpriced. $10k+ puts it up against some interesting alternatives.

I think it is one of the nicest modern Panerai and if I was to buy a new model this would definitely be it.

That watch is larger than your hand Love the look and design.........would need the 44mm size for it to work for me.

Enjoy!!!!!!!!

Old thread alright, but I'm a journalist by profession, so I like to dig deep ;)
Note... Does this post mean the watches in your signature you don't already own, Lee??
