Haha............you are a little late to realize that. the waiting list was already full once the model was annouced to the public and instantly sold out once released.

You can still get the 382 but little or no chance at retail price.

Let me be frank, I'm new to Panerai, or have been slowly "getting to know her" :) since the infatuation began around 2 years ago. I'm a hesitant buyer and must read a lot and do my homework (one family business being antiques collecting and dealing). After some story with the 372, having loved "a panerai photo" (not knowing it is of the 372, or later forgetting that it is) and using it as screensavers, and having "372 & 422" written in my iPad Notes, then forgetting I'd put it down. Ad boom, last month I bought a panerai I loved. Turns out its the watch in the screensaver and the iPad notes... The beautiful, classy and heritage filled (antiques love came in handy here) 372.
Then last night, reading the Panerai Catalogue App for 2012, I came across the 382. It being literally a piece of bronze intrigued me (again, bronze is a very important metal in antiques). Besides the material, which I've heard patinates "quicker than u'd want" (let me know your experiences, guys) it's the history and actual use in the 40s for that purpose of diving by the navies of both Italy and Egypt (my country) may be what interests me. I'm a classic by nature, but love the outdoors and the sea. Put these together and there u go. The 382 is bringing out a new side of me. How can I not like it.
The investment side is one important aspect too. Retail for 11,600 and now sells (or at least advertised for 20,000ish???)
Checked at Boutique here this morning (I had to). And alas it's gone :)

382 is my every day wear and its settled down to a very nice bronze/gold colour, now I have resisted the temptation to polish it.

I found my piece earlier this year at an AD, firmly lodged in the back of his safe. Took a LOT of searching :)

Would love to see a photo of your 372.
How about with the Burj Khalifa in the background.

Cheers!

If you can find a 382 at retail, buy 2. And sell me one

Great looking watch which will be a flagship for Panerai for years to come. You won't go wrong with this (if you can find one).

Judging it is a "Great looking watch which will be a flagship for Panerai for years to come" and I "won't go wrong with this", how much $ can I lure you with?
