Way back when we were first married we were going on our first trip abroad. MEXICO. My wife's paranoia had her hide her engagement ring in an ice cube in the freezer. Longer than watching water reach a boil was watching an ice cube melt in a collander.

I always take a picture and email it to myself. That way if my phone goes TU, I can pull it up via email. I do the same thing at the airport .

Since you're not actually hiding it from the wife, if there's a next time, the move would be to also show her where you put it.

This is a good “use case” (next time) for an AirTag in the bag.

Great suggestion

We've done this with our precious Norma. God, we'd be heart broken if she ever went missing.

For transparency, we moved house a few days ago. Whilst unpacking, we found it!

It was so well hidden that I had no recollection whatsoever!

It was wrapped amongst some clothes, inside a bag with more clothes in it.

Lucky that it didn’t get taken to the Thrift Shop. Heard tell of that sort of thing happening before

Glad you finally found everything

Thank you ! Really counting my blessing. I have resigned to the fact that we could have accidentally threw it away.

Omg, I'm usually a bit annoyed when ancient threads get bumped up, but this may be the very best. Really glad that you found it, OP The stars aligned for you both.
