Your "LONGEST NONESTOP FLIGHT" ...?

As we prepare to fly back from "The Emerald Isle" to DTW in USA we will be boarding a 17 1/2 Hour none Stop Flight on one of our legs back to STATES. This is not the longest nonstop flight now a days but this bad boy ranks right up there. a 2019 A350 will be the weapon of choice...... PCR is needed 36 hours prior to flight as things are really heating up here in SE Asia..

Cheers..

Newark to Singapore, ~18-19 hrs non-stop. Although not really that much longer than my typical 14-15 hr flights, it was enough to get another sleep/movie cycle in there, which made it seem much longer.

Auckland -> Doha 19hrs. First time is the hardest, but gets a bit easier after that. I can't really sleep on a plane so I took an aisle seat and walked around every hour. Got to know all the flight attendants quite well by the time I arrived :)

SQ Singapore - JFK nonstop is my fave to the east coast. Best airline in the world and absolute pleasure doing this route every time. I hope I can be back on it soon.

Just under 19 hours.

I did San Francisco/LA to Melbourne and Sydney to LA/San Francisco and they were 14 and 16 hours.

Talk about binge TV watching that was my record.

The cool thing was on the SF to LA part we got to the gate in LA and they led us down to the tarmac put us in a GMC Limo and drove us across the tarmac to the other plane and we got on and took off in about 5 minutes. My first time with cubicle/sleeper seating.

I'm thinking damn, this is more like it. Now I know how it feels to fly private.

Dtw to Ath

Longest car ride was a solo drive from Florida back to Mi in my 323ci. 1325 miles in 18hrs
73.61mph Avg. Ended up getting my card shut off because of fraud protection so I had to make a stop in atlanta to pull out cash which cost me an hour. It motivated me enough to buy my 330ci to turn into a cannonball car. But during the lockdown the redball to portofino record was shattered with a whopping 106mph avg in a modded s65 amg. I don't see that record being broken anytime soon... if ever

Yokota Air Base (I think) to Travis Air Force Base in 1969.

I was heavily medicated for the whole trip and delirious for parts of it.

I have no idea how long it took.

Same.
Both flights managed to get a row each for the wife and I (3 seats each), and had some 'free' access to the lounge before departure. Slept well the whole way!

it's not non-stop but it's pretty darn long for me.

LAX - NRT 12 hours
layover for 2 hours
NRT - BKK 6 hours

But these flights seem to have gotten faster in recent years.
