I agree - looks "Panerai correct" in size. I was also trying to figure out what strap was on it. Maybe it's the light. Looks like a nice toffee brown of some sort. I like it.

Looks fine. I did downsize to the 42mm PAM, not because of how it looked but because the crown kept digging into the top of my hand.

Wear in good health.

@THWatch - Love it!

@Polar Bear - Will do! I'm going crazy with straps with all the great recs here!

@mjm700 - It's actually the OEM strap (Brown crocodile). I agree..the light makes it look a bit different.

As long as you like it, that's fine! Don't worry about it. Enjoy!

Haha...will keep that in mind! Still getting used to it. In fact, I got a 310 (40mm) to get a sense for what's that's like. I've got a couple weeks to decide whether or not to keep it.

Not small watches.

That watch looks fine on your wrist, especially since the pic appears to be taken at close range.
Panerai's are supposed to wear big.

Besides the diameter, make sure you're OK with the thickness.
The dome crystal adds a lot to the height.

Thanks for the thoughts! I see you're in SFO. Do you have a preferred AD in California?

If the thickness does not bother you, it's a great looking watch!! Good luck

Nice watch, but too big on your wrist from this perspective. Try to look in mirror and see if it fits. Ultimately, it is your decision and comfort level.

No preferred AD
My 317 and previous 682 and 275 were from different dealers

There's now the 1135, essentially a 317 with a blue dial

@polaris72 - As much as it pains me, I tend to agree. So much so, that I'm trying a 40mm.

@eonflux - Got it...thanks! Yes, that 1135 is amazing. Do you have that??

Great find and very true

I think it looks perfect on you OP. Panerai are supposed to be big watches. Part of the DNA

That chrono looks super cool and a better fit. It will be easier to wear than 44mm in my opinion. I have 7.25” wrist, but it is a round shape, so 40mm is my sweet spot.

The Pam in the first pic is just perfect.
Its so cool that it screams badass with zero effort.

That watch, the strap, and dial color, imho, was made for u.

No such thing as too big or small. Get the watch you’re comfortable with and ignore the haters who say otherwise. Your question is more a personal question to ask yourself. If you’re confident in the watch, then that’s good.

@crazycarlitos - Thanks!! Haha....love your comments!

@all - Thanks! I think it's a keeper!

@trog - Fair enough. I love it though. Coming from a Speedmaster...which is much more busy. I personally love the complications.

Strangely, the 8 day power reserve makes me not wear it much....since the other watches are automatic and need to be worn (or set) more frequently! ....or I guess I could buy a winder.

Looks perfect on you. It’s just a matter of getting used to. I have a 6.75” wrist and I love wearing my 317k, especially on a bracelet.
