No matter what the watch looks like there will be two camps, one group who loves it and one who hates it. That is a given.

At least Rolex watches generate emotions. Some other brands roll out certain models that I cannot remember the next day.

With Rolex we won't until it's release, here is to hoping it only comes in SS so I don't have to wait 3 years

Mega-sized watches aren't my thing, but I am pleased to see how Rolex is gradually starting to dabble in more complicated "practical" functions with their Oyster models. Even here, I'm at the point where simplicity is more what I prefer...but I still greatly admire complications and horological innovation, and these kind of introductions take a lot of wind out of the sails of Rolex naysayers who constantly say that the brand can do nothing interesting or innovative.
Of course, Rolex has done plenty quietly behind the scenes, but its good seeing them step out and show what they can do with practical complications, even if they don't get into the heavy duty traditional complications like minute repeaters, perpetuals and tourbillons (Which really don't suit Rolex's thrust as a watchmaker, really) |

I'm pretty sure I'll be disappointed, as usual.... It's been a few years now that this brand I love so much seems to turn its back on its legacy....

DAM YOU ROLEX!!! You're doing it to me AGAIN!!!! Last year, you come out with a watch I decide I can't live without, the new EX II. THIS year, you just very well might do it again!!!!!
If it's a 42MM GMT, with some kind of bezel time-marking function, I will have to put one of my kidneys on the market for the funds to buy the new watch. Anybody need a kidney? |

I can't see it being 42mm probably a new 40mm watch. Its most likely got a white dial to go with the bezel. So white dial & white bezel would look the size of a dinner plate at 42mm+.

I'd say it will be bigger than 40, probably 42. It feels like when Rolex update their watches they do it though out the line, testing the water with the Exp42. But then again, what do I know?
