What's up with this endlink?

I'm looking at this watch, and all looks ok except for this. Is it a deal breaker, or can it be fixed, or part replaced? Thanks, Ed

Nothing wrong with that if it's a watch with a few years on it; 593's would be early Sub ends. Most end links get bent and smashed about and with careful manipulation can be massaged back into proper shape. At the worst you can put new tubes or sleeves inside, or perhaps it doesn't have the correct diameter spring bars.

Well Larry’s report about the caseback is accurate - but your question about the endlink is that it can be fixed by any decent watchmaker. It looks like it was twisted out of shape in some hard action over the years.

Sometimes I put in a quick place holder comment and then grab a couple of reference books to flesh it out.

Someone not familiar with end piece adjustment bent it too aggressively. We can repair this.

Is it just me or is the case back look pitted? Corrosion?
