16710 GMT Bezel Assembly on 16610 Sub?

Hi,
Anybody knows whether or not a GMT bezel assembly for 16710 is the same bezel assembly (the bezel and crystal retaining ring) as the one that comes on the 16800-16610 submariner?
Not the insert, just the steel parts.

Thanks,
Cheers

Alex

I don't think it is--I believe the 16710 GMT has a thinner bezel than does a 16610 Subbie. Not sure about the 16800, but I'd imagine its dimensions are closer to the latter than the former.

You've asked this question on other forums back in Nov. 2011 AND got the right answer in one of them.

Why post this here once more? Not a rant - just think it is disingenuous.

Maybe this is a test to confirm the testimony given on another forum, something you do to check your facts before writing a paper or article suitable for publication. There`s nothing insincere about it if that`s the motive,as a matter of fact I think more people should check their facts before they shoot their mouth off on the internet, then maybe we wouldn`t have quite so many myths to debunk and far more facts that can be relied on.

Yes I've asked before but I'm not convinced.
They said It's the same part, Adam K. and this link say the opposite.

If it was the same forum ok, but now I don't get what's wrong with it..

I'm curious, what is the answer? I have a tt sub that I wouldn't mind dressing down with a 16710 bezel and nylon strap when going out in the less than desireable areas.
