Thanks for the reminder. I'd tried to save the old PM's on my iPhone once but was unsuccessful. I'm now running off an an android tablet in the house and this morning's attempt at downloading seems to have worked.
My mailbox is now back in service.

Next month I'm heading to NC to help raise my best friend. I got a bottle for him and one for the lodge. I hope it's not a dry lodge.

That sounds nice Mike, does your friend know that you're going to be doing this? If not, that would be quite the surprise!

You know what Bill, we have the exact same thing with the door knockers at our lodge, no one knows why they were cast like that...

Step up night. First time in the east for a stated meeting. Took me about 30 minutes to settle in.

Excellent Jason! Did you know about it an advance or was it a surprise? Sometimes it's actually better if you don't know that it's happening. I bet that you did great!
I don't know about your lodge but that station here is always elevated 3-4 steps above everything else. It always felt about 15 degrees warmer "up there" to me!
Congratulations!

How true!!! Our East has a heat vent right above the chair too, as if it's not warm enough already!!!

I knew it was coming. We ended up with a hole in our line. This years JW is a navy guy and got transferred out of state. He went into the line assuming he would finish out his career here. The WM and I have decided the best solution is to just stay in place for two years. For step up night I asked if I could take the east. I know sooner or later it will happen anyway and I figured the sooner the better.

I cooked, in the east. I'm pretty sure someone replaced the bulb over the podium with a heat lamp.

Edit: I forgot to add. Three steps in the east, two in the west and one in the south to get to the stations.

I was appointed Chaplain of the lodge at our annual on Friday night.
Here I am rocking the regalia and new tuxedo.

Looking good Bill, congratulations! Do you officially take the position on the 27th of December? (St John's Day)

Thanks. Nope I'm on duty now. I've been filling in for a while since the last Chaplain had to leave suddenly. Memorizing all I can. Just had to go through the annual official installation.

Ahhh, election and installation night, there's some stress, depending on what you're doing!

That's sweet Bill, I have a Grand Master coin tucked away somewhere, I'll have to dig it out and snap a pic.

I was a third degree when living in Ohio but moved around and never continued. My apron is in a drawer some where. Now I've got the same route with my Knight's membership. That makes me a former Mason-Knight.

This is always something that miffs me.

There are only 3 degrees in the Blue Lodge. Once raised, that is it. At least in the US.

What you do in the appendant bodies is an entirely up to you. Doesn't make you any less of a Mason not to participate in those.

3rd degree makes you a Master Mason Lee, pay up your dues and you're back in!

Can you do both at the same time? I didn't think that was possible.
