Home decorating - Classic Rock Album Covers

My wife and I finally decided how to decorate our entry foyer. We’re using classic rock album covers. We picked out some albums and we’re framing them now. It’s a big wall so we think 12 or 14 albums is the right number.

My criteria is that it has to be one of my favorite bands, it has to be an epic album, and it also has to have artistic qualities. It’s a very fun project and we think it’s going to look great when it’s done.

That's pretty cool! Love the Black Sabbath one.

Some interesting info on that cover:

So I want to stick to the 60s & 70s, but that's a pretty cool choice.

Not exactly classic rock, but one of the most memorable album covers ever. I’ll see myself out…..

No one has mentioned the Stones.

A vote for Sticky Fingers.

Also, I am seeing Maiden in Toronto Oct 11. It will be epic! I first saw them in 1982.

Classic Rock album cover, you say?

I was actually really into this when it came out in 1978, when I was 14. It was kind of a gateway album to the originals.

Great idea, I always liked the album covers from Alice Cooper. Billion Dollar Babies would look good in a frame.

One of my favourite album covers.
Proposed cover for a Beatles album called, 'A Doll's House'.....changed to, 'The White Album'.

Right now, we’re using Made in the Shade from The Rolling Stones, but it’s on the bubble. It could be replaced. It’s also a compilation album too, so that’s another negative factor.

Our criteria is pretty rigid. It has to be one of my favorite bands, an epic album, and artistic quality is important too. So Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon didn’t make the cut because the album cover is pretty bland, but Pink Floyd Animals did make our list.
