Hi everyone,
New member here from Bloomington, IN. Owner of a 116710BLNR and 116400GV Z-blue (wife's, purchased first and probably the only reason the AD put me on the list for the Batman). We got them both new in 2018 in Indianapolis and are our first luxury watches. Before that, I had a Citizen AT8020 radio-controlled, which is still running great.

About me, I'm an accounting professor and new dad (we adopted our first during a pandemic, what fun!) and my daughter already appreciates polished center links.

Sounds as if you have one of the "good" AD's who actually try to work for their customers.

So A colleague of mine at the time had a beautiful Navitimer (I think it’s a rose gold rattrapante), so that got me down the rabbit hole and I fell in love with the Batman. My wife found the Milgauss and fell for it.

So the interaction with the AD went something like this (May 2018)...

Me (completely oblivious): Hi, I just wanted to call and see if I could get on the waitlist for a Batman.
Sales rep: (who was very, very nice): We generally establish a relationship with a customer before doing that.

She then asked if I was local, etc. and then I asked about the Milgauss. They had one in stock and we drove down the next day.

Great experience at the AD (not sure if forum rules allow naming them, but there’s only one in Indianapolis). She brings out the Milgauss and hands it in my direction and I point toward my wife and say “that ain’t for me” and then wander off to drool over the platinum Daytona they have on display.

After we settle up, the rep asks if I’m still interested in the BLNR, and then took a (small) deposit. Got the call 3 months later.

Sorry for the long, drawn out response, but figured someone may search for “Indianapolis” when looking for AD experiences and find this slightly helpful.
