Automatic Seiko Divers

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the automatic Seiko dive watches. The Seiko I own now is quarts and I really want a automatic watch. Not just some mass produced battery operated hunk of junk. I haven't had any problems with my Seiko and this is the second year I've had it. Back to the subject. I think that those watches(for a automatic) are a great price. What do you think?

Seiko make some fine very reliable mechanical divers watches, keep respectable time maybe not to C.O.S.C standards but with regulation they
will easily meet it.Seiko must be one of the Most undervalued Manufactures in the business.I have a few a 6309 6306 both around 20 plus years old and still going strong.

One of the first automatics I bought was a Seiko. They are fine watches, reliable and accurate. The only reason I changed was probably for the prestige factor.

There you go its true, something like a Mercedes and a Lexus. The Mercedes
has the more prestige factor, but the Lexus is IMO the better built car.Myself
now quite happy to wear a Rolex to a Poljot.

How good is it? Here's my 6309:

That bad boy's gone everywhere and been through everything with me since I got it brand new for S$150 in 1987. It took 17 years and an SD to finally find another watch good enough to tear me away from it, and it's more than earned its place in my collection.

Mind you, it's put my SD to shame in the accuracy stakes - it's running at +2 secs/day, while the SD's in need of a regulation at +11.

I think a lot of guys are guilty of having a Seiko Diver. They are great value for money watches.

Here is my old 7002-7001 Seiko Diver now sold off in favour of our Swiss friends,

Seiko divers are great. They are a great value dollar for dollar and can be modified with quality parts, if that's a game you want to play.

Mine makes me question my watch journey and money spent on higher end pieces.

Currently have an SKX and love it. With the current line up, I like the mini turtle. I have a smaller wrist but they wear well.
